Thanks for agreeing to help get the word out about my new novel, Green Bay Outsiders.
Below are some quick and easy ways you can help out. Please keep in mind, you’re also welcome to promote my book as an Amazon affiliate, which means you earn a commission on any sale. Not sure how Amazon’s affiliate program works? Here’s my write-up; take a look.
Inviting you to be an affiliate means less profit for me, but I’m all about the long game. A book launch is not only a sales opportunity but a chance to reinforce a relationship where we agree to help each other get the broadest exposure possible during both our book launches. I’d like you to feel good about participating, in other words, and not feel like you’re doing a guy a favor. Make sense?
So with that in mind, below are three ways you can help promote the novel (with resources included to assist for each). Click each numbered link to jump down to the relevant section.
1. Newsletter or social media promotion around Launch Day (this link may or may not jump to another part of this e-blast since the section it links to is right under these three options, and may already be visible to you!)
2. Newsletter “Swap” Any Time – Not Just Launch Day
3. Interview Me On Your Blog or Website
During the first 48 hours of the book’s launch, I will run a giveaway that gives everyone who purchases a copy of Green Bay Outsiders the chance to win a new Kindle tablet. The way this works is: whenever anyone purchases Green Bay Outsiders on Amazon, they can scroll to the back of the book and click a link to get to the tablet giveaway page. All they need to do is enter their name and email address and they’re entered for a chance to win. I’ll announce the winner to everyone who entered about a week after the launch.
If you run a promotion during the first 48 hours your readers will have a chance to enter. Here is some suggested messaging, to make it easy for you to help out:
• Newsletter messaging
• Twitter and Facebook messaging (giveaway language included)
• Twitter card
• Facebook card
• Green Bay Outsiders cover image
If you’d prefer getting involved some other time than during the initial 48-hour launch period, you’re welcome to propose we swap newsletter promotions. I run a newsletter every other week and will promote one of your books if you’ll run something on Green Bay Outsiders during the first month following launch (when the book can still be touted as a “new release”).
Keep in mind, you should consider taking advantage of the Amazon affiliate program I mentioned above to profit off this opportunity. Here are some useful resources if you’d be interested in doing a newsletter swap:
• Newsletter messaging – minus the launch/giveaway language I included above
• Jay Lemming Interview on Green Bay Outsiders – feel free to link to it to give your readers more of an idea about Green Bay Outsiders, based on this author interview
• Green Bay Outsiders cover image
Feel free to email me at jay@jaylemming-author.com if a newsletter swap would be of interest. We can set something up.
If you run author interviews on your blog (or are considering starting), I would be happy to sit for an interview (either by answering questions you send me or via a video interview). You’re also welcome to link to an interview that has already been published on my website (click here). One note about interviews: Please don’t copy and paste the interview I link to above on my own website, which appears on my website. Google doesn’t like identical content published across multiple websites–Google calls it scraped content–and it may consider such content stolen and decide to punish the perpetrator sites in its rankings. So please don’t scrape the interview. I’m happy to participate in an interview that would be unique for your website.
Another note about interviews: As launch day approaches, I’m likely to get much busier. And because author interviews can take a decent amount of time, I would prefer to receive requests and participate in interviews at least a month before launch day. Of course, I understand you have your own schedule, so if scheduling an interview (or sending me interview questions to answer) would best fall within 30 days of the launch date for Green Bay Outsiders, I’ll do what I can to make it work for you.
Her are some resources you can use to publish an interview on your blog:
• Jay Lemming headshot
• Jay Lemming short bio
• Green Bay Outsiders cover image
If you do decide to run an interview, please consider keeping a link to my website (https://jaylemming-author.com) active somewhere on the interview page. I already include such a link in the short bio included above. Thanks.
Thanks for considering the different ways to help promoting my latest release. As a reminder, you have an opportunity to benefit by participating in Amazon’s affiliate program. And I’d also be willing to help out with the launch of one of your high-quality books in the future.
